Engineers often need to discover and learn designs from unfamiliar domains for inspiration or other particular uses. However, the complexity of technical design descriptions unfamiliarity domain make it hard engineers comprehend function, behavior, structure a design. To help quickly understand complex description new them, one approach is represent as network graph design-related entities their relations an abstract summary While visualizations are widely adopted in engineering literature, challenge remains retrieving deriving relations. In this paper, we propose mapping method that powered by Technology Semantic Network (TechNet). Through case study, showcase how TechNet's unique characteristic being trained on large technology-related data source advantages itself over common-sense knowledge bases, such WordNet ConceptNet, representation.
